Birthdays

Since the last few posts Kelsey and Laura's Dad celebrated birthdays. Kelsey also graduated from Rockford College!

We're in!!!

We're living at the house!!! Still things to unpack (of course) but we're having fun living in our new home. It will be nice to have Christmas here. In fact....I'm searching for the box with ribbon for wrapping presents!!!

Girls!

Here is a photo of the wonderful ladies I work with. It was a special day as we said "see you later" to Miss Jessica. She's moving and we refuse to say "good bye" because we will keep in touch!

Lots of new things so I decided to put them in a slide show!! Changes on the outside and inside. Our dad's have been helping to paint and lay carpet. I'll post pictures of our paint job soon :)

Good Friend=Good Times

This Saturday we had friend come to visit. My roomie Eliz and her husband Derrick came to spend the day. We went to the orchard, batting cages, dinner and played a little Wii. It was great to see them!

Updates!

Kelsey used boards to build a "bridge" to get to the sidewalk and driveway. Thanks to Kurt our builder for making it! :)



We have stained wood started, knobs on the cabinets, a mantle, and a start to the patio. We tried a few paint colors on the walls.

Halloween 2009

It's a yearly tradition that Glen spends the night and we carve a pumpkin. We are spending the night (months) at his house we still carved a pumpkin. Glen wanted it to be a scarecrow.
Turned out pretty good if I say so myself :)

wood work

We have the start of trim, doors, a sidewalk and a flat yard. Love it!

For Jess

My friend has been asking me to post pictures :) So on this cold and rainy night I decided to download pictures to the computer.
We are getting flooring!!! They hardwood is down but not stained (see picture of sample color along with cabinet colors).
The tile guys have also started to prepare for tile in the bathrooms, laundry room, mud room and entry.
Cabinets and trim should be going in soon too. Yippee!! Our builder told the bank that we can set a closing for any time after Nov. 22nd. The end is in sight. It's gone by fast.

Getting Closer

The drywall has been primed.
The furnace is on drying out the house so we can have our hard wood floor laid on Saturday.

The stone work is done on the front of the house, the chimney and the fireplace.


Kelsey and I decided there would be more room for couches if we mounted the TV above the fireplace, so we had some destruction! The tube is to run wires from a component box to the TV.
